PAT’S BACKCOUNTRY BEER
Introducing the most environmentally-responsible carbonated beverage system on earth! This awesome little addition to your gear list is engineered with an emphasis on rugged durability and first of it's kind functionality. In it's more docile state, it functions as your standard, everyday water bottle (yawn). However, when you decide to kick it into high gear and unleash the technology hiding under it's cap, you get a burst of refreshing carbonation to energize any beverage of your choice. So no matter how far your wanderlust leads you down the trail, you can still enjoy a crisp, carbonated beverage anywhere on the planet. Cheers!
Beer is typically about 95% water, which makes it heavy, cumbersome, and expensive to transport. But with our innovative Hybrid Brewing Technology we can create a nearly waterless brew concentrate that contains all the flavor, abv content, and aroma of a quality micro brew. Our brew concentrate is not dehydrated beer!
Unlike other concentrate processes, this is not just about brewing the beer and then removing the water afterwards (which is extremely energy inefficient). Instead, our HBT process allows us to start with almost no water and carefully control the environment of the fermentation. The result; Pat's Pale Rail & Black Hops. Our first two great brews with all the taste you’d expect from a premium micro brew. All you do is add water, carbonate, and enjoy.
While you’re enjoying a Pat’s brew on your next adventure, consider the benefits to the environment that you’ve helped support by not needlessly burning fossil fuels to process and transport all that extra water. Now thats drinking resourcefully!
HYBRID BREWING TECHNOLOGY
HBT (Hybrid Brewing Technology) is our unique process developed with the exclusive purpose of producing a highly concentrated beer that is uncompromised in character and quality once mixed with water. The taste is on par to most microbrews on the market. To the end user, it’s just a great tasting beer, but behind every sip shines an environmentally and economically superior product that stands beside no other beer on the planet.
Question: Why call it Hybrid Technology?
Our brew is highly concentrated which means that it has a high percentage of alcohol (like whiskey, or other distilled spirits). However, when you add water and carbonation to it, the brew concentrate becomes good ole microbrew. So… from one minute to the next we’re not sure what to call it. Is it a distilled spirit? Is it beer concentrate? Is it both? It’s a Hybrid!
NF (Nested Fermentation)
At the heart of our Hybrid Brewing Technology resides the Nested Fermentation process. It is this phase of our process that results in a dramatic reduction in energy consumption during our beer concentrate production process. It has reduced the energy demands of our brewing process to the point where we have nicknamed it “Cold Fermentation”. Maybe not as great of a contribution to mankind as “Cold Fusion”, but were pretty proud of it none the less.
